Our knitting project is a means by which Knitters from the church and their friends, make jumpers and hats for babies and young children in Kwazulu, South Africa. For further information please contact Jacqueline Sanderson .
On 23rd July, 16 parcels were sent to Kwazulu in South Africa containing 353 knitted hats and 140 jumpers which had recently been blessed by Fr Prem. All items have been knitted by ladies from St Edwards and their friends.
We were able to cover the postage of £167.70 (receipts available upon request) with money tithed by the PCC, given in donations or left over from previous posting. We have £80.00+ in the kitty to help with our next posting.
A big thank you to all those who either knitted garments, donated money or wool. Well done to all the knitters and huge thanks to Viv for her work in organising this. More are needed so in the meantime …..
Keep on Knitting!
