SECOND SUNDAY BEFORE LENT
Gospel: John 1. 1-12
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Gospel reading reminds us of the promise of God to abide with as always. The glorious sovereign God who revealed in splendour and majesty in and through the created order is now so close to our hearts, has come to dwell within us through Jesus Christ.
The divine presence is offered to each one of us to experience the power to remove all kinds of fear, darkness, chaos, trauma and troubles.
The glorious, powerful presence is offered graciously what it says in verse 14 and the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory of our as of a Father’s son his son, full of grace and truth..
Such a powerful gift comes to us once again to strengthen us as this dreadful pandemic continues to threaten our lives causing so much pain and sorrow grief and loss, weakens us, as to the extent of us being affected mentally, physically, the economically, in education, business, family, children and even our Faith too is shaken.
But the word incarnate, Jesus Christ, the promised grace and truth offers us the indwelling presence to experience the power of being the children of a glorious God through Jesus.
We have the confidence of the eternity in life, the indwelling love of God and the light that explains all fears and darkness.
May each of our lives be blessed to receive these gifts in Jesus:
1) to possess Christ the light of the world
2) to share Christ the love divine with each other
3) to witness Christ the glory in dwelling in us . A
