Sunday 9th November – Tram Crash Anniversary Service
This Service is being held at the Memorial in Central Parade at 1.00 pm. Fr Prem has been invited to preach/pray at this service. Your presence is most welcome to show support for the families, and our local community that was badly affected by this tragic accident

Quiz Night with Fish & Chip Supper will be held on Saturday 22nd November at 7.30 pm in the church hall. Tickets are £15.00 per person to include your supper. This is the last week to add your name to the list and pay Gill £15.00 or Lesley next Thursday. The ticket price must be paid in advance prior to the food order being placed. Other food options are available. Please bring your own drinks
The Advent Study Group will meet on three Thursdays in Advent – 4th, 11th and 18th December at 7.30 pm in the Church Hall Meeting Room. We will be reflecting on the book by Revd Dr. Joshua Rey, ‘A SEASON OF SILENCE’. If you wish to attend, kindly add your name to the sign-up sheet at the back of the church

Confirmation Service – Sunday 7th December
The Deanery Confirmation Service will be held on at St. George’s, Church Shirley. Anyone who wishes to be confirmed, please get in touch with Fr. Prem. Our confirmation preparation class begins on Sunday 9th November
Regular Events
Thursday Lunch Club – We hold a lunch club on a Thursday from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm where you can have a mug of soup, a roll and a chat. Everyone is welcome, so if you know of anyone who would like to join us, please let them know
Sing for Joy – This is a group for those who enjoy singing the old favourites that we all love. It is very informal and everyone is welcome to join us from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm on a Thursday afternoon

A Warm Social Space – St Edwards will be kept open and warm on a Thursday from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm to offer a social space for anyone of all ages to come and spend as long or as short as they like in the church, for a coffee, a chat, read a book, play chess, join us for soup or old time singing, whatever you wish during these worrying times of energy prices
